Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I come to therapy?
I recommend starting with weekly sessions so that we create a consistent and supportive environment to start your journey. Meeting weekly will help us build rapport in our therapeutic relationship and will allow progress to be made toward your goals. We can always make adjustments in the future, as needed.
How long are the sessions?
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Clinical supervision is 60 minutes long. Other appointments (consultations, letter writing, parent meetings, etc.) can vary and are pro-rated based on time.
How much does a session cost?
$185 per 50 minute therapy session. All art supplies used in session are included. My session fee for therapists needing ATR supervision is $75.
Do you take insurance?
Although I do not work directly with insurance companies, I am considered an out-of-network provider and therefore, our therapy sessions may be covered in full or in part by your insurance plan. I recommend that you call your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits. I can provide you with more detailed information on questions to ask and how to file a claim.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the anticipated costs for your therapy sessions. A good faith estimate provides an overview of the potential costs based on the information available at the time of your appointment. This estimate is provided in good faith and includes details such as the frequency of your sessions, the expected duration of treatment, and the typical rates for services.
Please note that the final cost may vary depending on factors such as the specific treatment required, the length of the session, or if additional services are recommended during the course of therapy. If at any time you have questions or concerns about your treatment or costs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am happy to work with you to ensure you receive the support you need while also understanding the financial aspects of your care.
Do you offer a reduced rate or sliding scale options?
Yes, I believe therapy should be more accessible to those in need. I reserve a limited number of spots to people who cannot afford my full fee. I will try to update my website often with the current status of my spots/waitlist, but please call for the most accurate update. Spots available now: 1 , People currently on waitlist: 0
